Dichomeris hamulifera

Dichomeris hamulifera is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Li, Zhen and Kendrick in 2010.^[1] It is found in China (Hong Kong).^[2]

The wingspan is 15-16 mm. The forewings are greyish yellow, with scattered dark brown scales and with the costal margin dark brown along the basal four-fifths. There are dark brown spots at two-thirds of the cell and at the middle of the fold, both margined with white scales on the outer side. There is a short dark brown streak at the end of the cell and a faint sinuous dark brown fascia near the termen, as well as dark brown dots on the termen. The hindwings are dark brown.

Etymology

The species name refers to the hooked process of uncus and is derived from Latin hamulifer (meaning with a small hook).^[3]
