Dominion Marine Media (DMM) is owned by Apax Partners. DMM is a Norfolk, Virginia-based advertising and software company for the marine industry with niche titles: YachtWorld.com, BoatTrader.com and boats.com.[1] In addition to Norfolk, DMM has operations in Fareham, Vancouver, Padova and Barcelona.
History
Dominion Marine Media (DMM) was established in May 2011, following the bringing together of all Dominion Enterprises marine assets; Boat Trader with YachtWorld and boats.com. In 2014, DMM acquired Cosas de Barcos.[2] In July 2016, Funds advised by Apax Partners announced that they had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Dominion Marine Media ("DMM"), from Dominion Enterprises, a subsidiary of Landmark Media Enterprises.
