Doug the Pug is a pug living in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Ohio, Doug made the move to Nashville as a puppy when his owner, Leslie Mosier, adopted him and brought him to his current home.[1] He is taking the internet by storm and has reached the status of a "celebrity dog."[2] He is also the most followed pug on the internet. His social media outlets are constantly growing and reaching new people daily. Doug's Facebook page has over 4.4 million likes, his Instagram account has over 2 million followers and his Twitter account has over 120,000 followers. He also has his own Vine and YouTube accounts. When Doug isn't busy attending music festivals or appearing on radio stations and television talk shows, he is hanging out with his many celebrity friends.[3] Among these celebrity friends are Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Meghan Trainor, John Legend, and many more.[4]

After Doug's social media started gaining more and more attention, big companies started paying attention. The first to write a feature on Doug was Mashable.[5] Since then, companies like Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, TIME, Huffington Post, and more have begun to take an interest and post their own features on him.[6] His photos have even been featured on Good Morning America. Doug was recently sent to cover both Lollapalooza and the first ever Billboard Hot 100 Fest.[7] He is also the first verified animal on Spotify. Most recently, Doug appeared in an alternative music video for Fall Out Boy's song Irresistible featuring Demi Lovato.[8] Along with appearing with Fall Out Boy Doug the Pug recently appeared with Dustin Lynch at the American Country Music Award show on April 3rd, 2016. [9] He also appeared with LoCash and Cassadee Pope supposedly talking beer with LoCash and giving Cassadee Pope fashion tips. [10]
