Eleonora Luthander

Eleonora Luthander (née Damjanović; born February 9, 1954 in Kruševac, Yugoslavia), is a Swedish and Serbian poet and translator.

Luthander studied at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. Between 1986 and 1994 she lived on the Adriatic island of Hvar. Luthander has participated in Poetry Slam and is a member of the Swedish Writers Union[1] and the Swedish Immigrant Writers Union.[2][3] She has published over 30 books and translations.[4] She has translated contemporary Swedish poets in Serbian; Kristina Lugn, Bruno K. Öijer, Lukas Moodysson and Ulf Lundell and haiku poetry from Dag Hammarskjöld.[5] Her poetry collections Diktogram and Vägen till Gdinj (Road to Gdinj) are listed in the Swedish Academy's Nobel Library.[6]

She married Swedish journalist Per Luthander in 1975. They live in Stockholm.[7][8] Her daughter is also a poet and a literary historian.[9]
