Emile Damey (Born 1 April 1994) is an Australian/Liberian international footballer [1] for Liberia and plays in the National Premier Leagues Victoria for Nunawading City FC.
Youth career
Damey Started his early footballing career in Townsville, North Queensland where he attended William Ross State High School and Played for North Queensland U17, the year when he scored 13 goals in 18 appearances (2010). he first gained media attention in 2013 when He helped his Queensland Based side Western Pride FC move from bottom table to top 4 by Scoring 9 goals in 9 games in the U20 competition.
He was moved to NSW State League midway through the season by Australasian Soccer Academy Director Tony Basha, who Took upon himself to Nurture the Talented Striker. That year Damey Was a runner up after losing 2-1 in a grand Final against Stanmore Hawks FC, that was the same year he Scored an incredible 8 Goals in 13 Appearances for Club Rydelmere Lions fc, Under the guidance of the Australasian Academy-coach, Tony Basha, Damey developed into a fearless striker, described as a "powerful and quick" striker, with "clinical finishing".
Club career
In 2014 Emile made 4 appearances in Malaysia's Second Tier league for-Club DRB-Hicom F.C., he has since Played For SV Horn in the International Arena Cup in Croatia (2015).
In mid-2015, Damey signed for National Premier Leagues Victoria side Nunawading City FC. He scored 10 goals and made 8 assists in 25 league games for the club. He was also part of Nunawading's first win in the National premier league against Murray United where he scored 2 goals in a 3-2 win.
International career
Emile was selected in the 27 man squad for Liberia against Togo in the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers, but did not feature. Damey made his first international cap for Liberia against Morocco, the game ended 4-2 to the opposition, The 5'11 built Striker scored on his debut for his country.
Personal life
Emile is also a devoted Arsenal fan. In 2016, he launched his very own charity organisation after representing Liberia; he founded 'Boots 4 Liberia' which provides football boots to local clubs in Liberia. Emile's mother is from Liberia, he was a refugee to Australia at the age of 11.
