Emmerting is a municipality in the district of Altötting in Bavaria in Germany.
History
The first settler in Emmerting was a farmer, who built a farmhouse (a "wing", which explains the ending of the village name) there. During World War II, workers from the Dachau concentration camp were housed here.[2] Today, Emmerting is primarily populated by teachers and workers in the nearby chemical factories.
