Equity Capital Management, LLC (ECM) is a private equity real estate investment firm specializing in the corporate sale leaseback and net lease markets.
History
The firm is based in Chicago with offices and affiliates in New York, St. Louis, and Bern (Switzerland). The founders of Equity Capital Management have made over $1 billion in net lease investments since 1989. Affiliates of Transwestern Investment Company have historically committed significant capital to ECM’s Funds. Transwestern has made over 425 property investments totaling in excess of $8.6 billion through a series of institutional real estate funds.
Investment Focus
ECM invests primarily in the following areas: sale leasebacks and net lease investment to corporations with investment grade credit. Corporations have included AT&T Inc.,[1] Fiserv, Walgreens, DuPont, Deutsche Telekom.

ECM invests through a series of private limited liability companies and REIT’s and its investors include a wide variety of pension funds, money managers, non-for profits, high-net-worth, and other institutional investors:
