Mexico National Team Speedskater
Kraan represented Mexico between 2000 and 2006 on the national speedskating team.[2] He set and still holds most of Mexico's national records.[3] He is currently a US Speedskating Level II certified coach.

Kraan and his wife, both Skate Instructors Association certified instructors, run the SkateNow Skate School to help promote the sport of inline speed skating in Salt Lake City. They have mapped out and rated parks, pathways, and roads in the Greater Salt Lake area according to difficulty and safety.[4] The two often organize races, skating gatherings, picnics, and road trips for skaters.
