History
FM 926 was designated in 1948 from SH 251 in Newcastle northwest 9.1 miles to a road intersection. In 1948, FM 926 extended northwest to SH 79. In 1993, the section of SH 251 from FM 926 to US 380 was transferred to FM 926.
