The national flag and the coat of arms of Bosniaks in Sandžak were established in 1991. The symbols were accepted by Bosniaks all over the Sandžak. In 1991, Sandžak organized a referendum in which 99% of its people voted for independence from FR Yugoslavia.[1] In that year the Muslim National Council of Sandžak changed the name to Bosniak National Council.[2]
Dimensions
The standard dimensions of the flag are 80x130cm. The background of the flag is white. In the center of the flag is an emblem, 50% of the flag height.[3]
