María Florencia Bertotti Baleirón (Spanish pronunciation: [maˈɾi.a floˈɾensja βerˈtoti baleiˈɾon]; born 15 March 1983), better known as Florencia Bertotti, is an Argentine actress, singer and producer. She is probably best known for her roles in telenovelas Verano del '98, Son Amores and Floricienta. Bertotti has been nominated for five Martín Fierro Awards, winning two, and for two Clarín Awards, winning one.
Career
Bertotti made her professional debut in 1995, in telenovela Dulce Ana. Afterwards, she had smaller supporting roles in telenovelas 90-60-90 modelos (1996), De corazón (1997), Verano del '98 (1999–2000), Luna salvaje (2000) and Culpables (2001). In 1998, she appeared in a successful film El Faro, for which she earned Argentine Film Critics Association Award for Best New Actress nomination.[1] Her big breakthrough came with the starring role in the Pol-Ka's telenovela Son Amores. It achieved a huge success and earned Bertotti a Clarín Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and two Martín Fierro Awards.
In 2004, she appeared in telenovela Los pensionados, and then worked on Floricienta with famous producer Cris Morena. Floricienta became a smash hit achieving record ratings in its afternoon slot, moving over 400 licensed products and attracting over 600,000 people for its series of live concerts.[2] Bertotti also recorded two soundtrack albums for Floricienta, released in 2004 and 2005. According to CAPIF, both albums achieved a Platinum certification for four times.[3] The role in Floricienta earned her two Martín Fierro Award and a Clarín Award nominations.
In late 2008, it was announced Bertotti would return to television with a new telenovela targeted to children, which would be produced by her and her husband Guido Kaczka.[4] She signed a contract with Endemol to produce and distribute the series worldwide.[4] Niní debuted on Telefe on 7 September 2009. Although it has been criticized for being nearly identical to Floricienta, the programme has been a commercial success and is the ratings leader in its timeslot. Bertotti received her first nomination as a producer, Martín Fierro Award for Best Infantil/Youth Programme.
Personal life
She has Italian origins : her great-grandfather was Sicilian. Bertotti was born María Florencia Bertotti Baleirón to Gustavo Bertotti, a jeweler, and María Baleirón, a psychology teacher.[5] She has an older sister, Clara Bertotti, who is a lawyer. Her parents divorced when Bertotti was seven.
In 1999 she started dating Guido Kaczka, an Argentine actor. They got married on 2 December 2006 and Flor gave birth to their son on 10 July 2008. The couple divorced in 2010 and then Flor started a relationship with an actor called Federico Amador. They've been living together for 3 years.
