Folklore Museum of Veroia
The Folklore Museum of Veroia is located in Veroia, Imathia, Central Macedonia, Greece. It is located in the city center, behind the cathedral. It is housed in the Sarafoglou Residence, a large town-house that was built in the eighteenth century near the Church of Christ, with many rooms and a considerable amount of ornamentation.
The main entrance leads into a large covered courtyard, paved with pebbles forming geometrical motifs. The rooms on the first floor open off a spacious central hall with elevated porticoes along two sides and a large window overlooking the courtyard. The exhibits include local costumes, jewelry, utensils, and objects from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
