Francis Joseph Charles O'Reilly
Francis Joseph Charles "Frank" O'Reilly (1922 – 11 August 2013[1]) was an Irish banker and businessman.
He attended St Gerard's School, Bray, Ampleforth College and Trinity College Dublin. He had been a member of the Turf Club since 1967, and was president of the Royal Dublin Society (1986–1989). A director of Irish Distillers Plc, he served as the 23rd Chancellor of the University of Dublin[2] (1985–1998). He was also a director of Ulster and National Westminster Banks.[3]
Other
In 2002, O'Reilly received a papal honour from Pope John Paul II in recognition of his “outstanding contribution” to the restoration of the Irish College in Paris.[3]
Family
He and his wife Tess had 10 children.
Death
He died at Rathmore, County Kildare at age 91 on 11 August 2013, survived by his 10 children.
