Frederick Kemmelmeyer (c. 1760 - 1821) was a German painter who emigrated to the United States.
Life
He first worked in Baltimore from 1788 to 1803 and then in Alexandria, Virginia, and Georgetown.[1] He was an itinerant painter in Western Maryland.[2]
One of his best known works is President George Washington during the Whiskey Rebellion.
