GA16DNE
The GA16DNE is a Nissan 1.6 L (1597 cc) engine. It produces 105 hp and 102 lb·ft of torque. GA16DNE has no VTC, comes without ECCS plenum. Additionally, DNE has a vertical throttle body with and MAF inside; the air filter is placed diagonally into a black plastic box. This variant also was released in some Southeast Asian models (Philippines and Malaysia Sentra B14)
The meaning of the "N" in its nomenclature is: N = New EGI (emission system) This engine DOES NOT have an EGR system like the GA16DE. Source: Factory Service Manual (FSM)
Since 2003, comes with a new ECU and 3 oxygen sensors.
