Gareth Stephens (born 15 April 1974) is a former rugby league footballer, playing at club level for Leeds, Castleford Tigers, Hull and Sheffield Eagles, and at representative level for Great Britain U-21 and Wales, as a Stand-off/Five-eighth, or Scrum-half/Halfback.
Career
Stephens started his career at Leeds, making his debut in September 1991.[2] He was signed by Castleford in July 1994.[3] He went on to play for Hull, Sheffield Eagles, Halifax Blue Sox and York Wasps.[4][5]
International honours
Stephens won four caps for Wales between 1995 and 1998, and played at the 1995 Rugby League World Cup.[6]
Personal life
Stephens is the son of former Great Britain rugby league international, Gary Stephens.[7]
