Gene Farrell is a footballer from Camp, County Kerry. He played with the Kerry intercounty team during the 1990s winning Munster Championships at all levels Minor (1990), Under 21 (1992), Sinor (1996). He played his club football with Annascaul, helping them to the 1993 County Final where they lost out to Laune Rangers. He also won Sigerson Cups with UCG and Tralee IT. Gene now resides in the beautiful countryside of Annascaul with his gorgeous wife Martha and three children. Gene's eldest offspring Jean is currently a final year student at University College Cork with a promising future ahead of her. "She is going places" according to Ahmêd the taxi driver. That said Gene will always be disappointed with her inability to kick a size 5 O'Neills. Luckily his legacy looks set to live on with young Jack Farrell showing promise both on and off the pitch. Jack has been capped for Kerry u15 and gets an average of over 200 likes per Instagram. "All is good again" - Gene Farrell
