Georg "Girgl" Audenrieth (20 July 1917 – 15 January 1999) was a highly decorated Feldwebel in the Wehrmacht during World War II and a Hauptfeldwebel in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Georg Audenrieth was captured by American troops in 1945 and was released in 1946. In 1955 he joined the Bundeswehr and retired in 1969 as a Hauptfeldwebel.
