George Ovey (13 December 1870 23 September 1951) was an American film actor and comedian.

Biography

George Ovey was born 13 December 1870 in Trenton, Missouri. He appeared in 207 films between 1915 and 1951, but he is best known as the character "merry Jerry" in several short films known as the "Cub Comedies" that were produced in the mid 1910s by Mutual Films.[1] He died 23 September 1951 in Hollywood, California.[2]
