George Ragsdale (born April 4, 1951) is a former professional American football player and current college football coach. Ragsdale is an alumnus of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Ragsdale played with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League, and played in the United States Football League (USFL). He was used primarily as a kick returner.
After his pro football playing days were over, Ragsdale has served at various coaching duties at his alma mater as well as Morris Brown College, Norfolk State University, University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and currently at Grambling State University. On September 11, 2013 he was named interim head football coach at Grambling State University.[1] On October 17, 2013, Ragsdale was fired as interim head coach at Grambling.[2]
