Gigasperma is a genus of fungi in the order Agaricales that contains the two species G. americanum and G. cryptica. It is treated either as the only genus in the monotypic family Gigaspermaceae,[2] or part of the wider Cortinariaceae.[3] Gigasperma was circumscribed by Austrian mycologist Egon Horak in 1971.[4]
