Giri Devanur is a CEO who has raised seed capital, Venture Capital and Private Equity from global institutions. He has managed the development and maintenance of trading systems for Bank of America Securities LLC.
Early life and education
Devanur did his Masters in Technology Management from Columbia University in the United States.[1] He also completed a Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School as well as an executive education program on “Building innovative products” at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a member of the American Management Association.
Career
Devanur founded Ivega Corporation in 1997, an international niche IT consulting company with a focus on financial services. He built Ivega into a 1000-employee organization before merging it with TCG software, which is a part of the TCG group. The merged entity was named TCGIvega.[2] He exited out of the merged entity TCGIvega in 2006. Following this, Devanur created Gandhi City for Advanced Research and Development, which was meant to be India's first and only Research Park spread over an area of 1000 acres near Bangalore. Gandhi City has signed a partnership agreement with Research Triangular Park in North Carolina, USA. Gandhi City has attracted investments from Och-Ziff.
In September 2010, Devanur founded Winhire Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In April 2014, Ameri100 acquired Winhire Technologies Pvt. Ltd and Devanur became CEO of Ameri100.
Awards and recognition
- Devanur is the mentor of the Columbia University 'Executive Masters in Technology' program.[3]
- Ameri100, under the leadership of Devanur was listed as one of the '50 Most Promising IT Services Companies' in 2014, by CIO Review.[4]
- Giri Devanur has been recognized as a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2016 New Jersey Awards program.[5]
Personal life
Devanur lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.
