Gomti Nagar railway station is a small railway station in Lucknow district, Uttar Pradesh. Its code is GTNR. It serves Gomti Nagar area of Lucknow city. The station consists of 3 platforms. The platform is not well sheltered. It lacks many facilities including water and sanitation.[1]
Gomti Nagar is one of the local stations in Lucknow and lies on Barabanki-Lucknow Suburban Railway. Many stations are covered by Lucknow-Kanpur Suburban Railway. It serves daily commuters. Some of the trains are operated from Barabanki city. The honorable Home minister and the MP from the city Rajnath Singh has announced that Gomti Nagar will be developed into an international level railway station and the number of platforms will be increased to six.
