Gregory J. Read is an Australian filmmaker.

Read has written, directed, produced, and edited the critically acclaimed documentaries Spirits of the Carnival (1995), Tides of Passage (1994), and Photographers of Australia: Dupain, Sievers, Moore (1992). Although Like Minds was Read's directorial feature film début, since the late 1990s he has assisted in the production of several low-budget Australian features. These include director John Hewitt's Redball and Dark Love Story, the latter of which Gregory produced and is to be released in 2006."[1]
