Gulf Indian High School or GIHS is a CBSE affiliated school located in the Al Garhoud Area of Dubai. It is a senior secondary school with students from 3-17 where it is KG - 12. Students in 12th prepare for their All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) as it is their senior and final year. The school is affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. Dominated by discipline and well knit community, assessed by the KHDA it came out with an 'Acceptable'.

GIHS--- The flag is a khaki color and has the school emblem on it.
Motto
The motto that the school follows is 'Wisdom is the principle thing' an extract /quote picked from Proverbs 4:7,and is inscribed on the school emblem.
Student Council & Office Bearers
Providing a chances for Student leaders, it teaches students to lead from the forefront.Consisting of The Head Boy/Girl, Sports Head, Cultural Head, Discipline Head. Each of these posts have their respective Vices and Assistants. Bringing the total to 12 council members. Individual houses have Captains and Vice Captain assists the Captain in his/her functioning and along with that each house has a groups of 6 prefects selected from grades 4th onwards. House system
The house system of GIHS brings students together, it challenges each and every student and gives certain amount of exposure to mostly all of them, because of the less number of students, the inter house events held give considerable exposure to students. The houses are Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. Both the girls and boys have their houses named after gems:
