Gurów massacre
Gurów massacre - crime committed 11 July 1943 by the troops of Ukrainian Insurgent Army from group "Piwnicz" and the Ukrainian peasants on the Polish population during the so-called Volhynian massacre. Crime scene was the village Gurów, Grzybowice commune, Volodymyr-Volynskyi Raion in the Volyn oblast. According to historian Władysław Filar, as a result of this action, were killed 410 Polish civilians [1] (according to historians Władysław and Ewa Siemaszko, 200 Poles and 2 Jews were killed [2]).
