H. H. "Harry" Johnston was the 18th head football coach for the Doane College Tigers located in Crete, Nebraska and he held that position for four seasons, from 1919 until 1922. His coaching record at Doane was 16 wins, 11 losses, and 4 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him ninth at Doane in total wins and 11th at Doane in winning percentage (.581).[1]
He captained the 1914 Doane football team. He also coached at a high school in Crete, Nebraska in the 1940s.[2]
