Haris Tarin

Haris Tarin (born 1978) is an Afghan American Muslim leader.[1]

Son of a former Afghan diplomat whose family fled their war-torn homeland when he was 4, he grew up in Los Angeles, earned a BA at California State University, Northridge

Formerly Haris was the Director of the Washington DC office of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). Currently he serves as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties at the Department of Homeland Security.[1]
