Henry Davis Shanklin was the former mayor of Ashland, Kentucky. On August 5, 1941, Shanklin presided over the ceremony celebrating the freeing of the Ashland - Coal Grove Bridge. He had also been a cashier at the Second National Bank of Ashland.[2]
