Hiroshi Nakamura (中村 浩士 Nakamura Hiroshi, born February 14, 1981) is a Japanese mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight division. He has fought in many well-known mixed martial arts organizations as Shooto, DEEP and Bellator.

Mixed martial arts career

Shooto

Nakamura started his career in 2005. Until 2009, he fought only for Shooto and faced opponents like Shooto and Sengoku featherweight champion Hatsu Hioki,[2] and Shooto veteran Hayate Usui.[3]

DEEP

Between 2010 and 2011, Nakamura won five times and lost two times. He obtained a victory over the DEEP bantamweight champion Masakazu Imanari in a non-title bout,[4] and also defeated WEC veteran and former featherweight King of Pancrase Yoshiro Maeda.[5]

In 2011, Nakamura signed with Bellator to compete in the bantamweight tournament.[6]

Bellator MMA

Nakamura made his debut on April 6, 2012 at Bellator 64 in the quarterfinal match of Bellator season six bantamweight tournament against Rodrigo Lima. Nakamura defeated Lima via unanimous decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27) and advanced to the semifinals.[7]

In the semifinals on May 25, 2012 at Bellator 70, Nakamura faced Luis Nogueira. Nakamura lost via knockout in the third round.[8]
