Hisham al-Khashin

Hisham al-Khashin (born 1963) is an Egyptian writer.[1] He is best known for his novel Graphite which was nominated for the Arabic Booker Prize in 2015. He has published several other works: the short story collections Very Egyptian Stories (2010) and Duet (2013), and the novels What is Behind the Doors, Seven Days of Tahrir, and Adam the Egyptian.

Hisham is a civil engineer by profession.
