Holy Child Academy, a mainly secondary school, is a Catholic academic institution run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pagadian in Pagadian City, Republic of the Philippines. It is often referred to as the sister school of Saint Columban College.
Brief history
The academy traces its roots from the efforts of missionary Fr. Jose Ma. Reyes of the Society of Jesus to establish a secondary school in 1940 for the natives of the City. HCA was then known by the name Pagadian Academy and was the sole Catholic school in the City (and in the entire Province of Zamboanga del Sur during the period). The academy was, to a certain long period of time, under the control of the Missionary Society of St. Columban (MSSC).
In the 1960s, when the MSSC waived full autonomy over its schools in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur, Holy Child Academy with the Star of the Sea High School in the Municipality of Tukuran, Immaculate Heart Academy in the Municipality of Dumalinao, and Saint Columban College (also, in Pagadian City) were turned over to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pagadian. The four(4) schools were formed to compose what is known today as the Diocesan Schools Group of Pagadian.
In the 1980s, the academy was renamed to its present name-Holy Child Academy in honor of the Patron Saint of Pagadian City, the "Holy Child" or "Child Jesus"; also locally known as "Sr. Sto. Niño".

Campuses
HCA has two(2) campuses which are both situated in Barangay San Jose.
- The preschool, previously located beside the San Jose Parish Church, was transferred beside and North of the newly constructed high school campus (August 2014).
- The high school campus, just parallel to and West of the old campus, houses the administration offices and occupies the newly constructed building (completed in 2011) in the former Preschool campus.
The present high school campus was not only once occupied by its preschool arm and the Hangop Kabataan Center(a now defunct school for children with special needs), but was also once the grade school campus of Saint Columban College.
