Ian Yolles is a recognized thought leader on environmental purpose and currently serves as the chief sustainability officer at Recyclebank.[3]

As a thought leader, Yolles frequently speaks on environmental panels and other similar engagements. Some speaking engagements include Sustainable Brands ’11,[4] The Cause Marketing Forum,[5] StartingBloc,[6] The Green Biz State of Green Business Forum[7] and Net Impact Conference.[8]

Prior to Recyclebank, Yolles was co-founder and vice president of marketing and brand communications of Nau, a sustainable outdoor lifestyle apparel company. Prior to that, Yolles worked as a senior consultant with Dialogos, "a world leader and pioneer in the theory and practice of dialogue, organizational learning, collective leadership, and fostering approaches to responsible capitalism and sustainability."[9]

Yolles has also served as director of marketing at Patagonia,[10] director of social inventions for The Body Shop,[9] director of brand marketing at Nike[10] and executive director of the Canadian Outward Bound Wilderness School.[9]

As well as holding the position of Chief Sustainability Officer, Yolles is also the head of the Recyclebank Sustainability Advisory Council.[11] The group counsels Recyclebank on the latest environmental issues, as well as how to evolve the company so that it stays true to their mission.
