The Indiana Drillers are an independent Junior A ice hockey team in the Continental Junior Hockey League.[1][2] The team plays at the S&T Bank Arena in Indiana, Pennsylvania.

History

The Franchise was formed in 2010 as an original franchise in the 2010-11 season of the Continental Junior Hockey League. Christian Panaia will be the Drillers first head coach. Panaia played professionally in the MAHL with the Mon Valley Thunder as well as in Italy. The first General Manager of the Drillers will be Bob Yusko, former General Manager of the Indiana Ice Miners of the defunct Mid-Atlantic Hockey League. Yusko has also worked with the Mon Valley Thunder as Director of Game Day Operations as well as holding the same position with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

Prior to the start of the season, it was announced that the Dillers would not play in 2010-11, but start as an expansion team for the 2011-12 season.[3]
