Ismail Ahmed Ismail (born 1 November 1984) is a Sudanese runner, who specializes in the 800 metres. He was born in Khartoum.
Ismail reached the final in that event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He competed at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, where he won the silver medal in 800 m. He is the first Sudanese national to win an Olympic medal in history.
He won the gold medal at the 2003 Afro-Asian Games.
Ismail is a member of the Fur people of Darfur.[1]
