Jackson T.-S. Sun (Chinese:孫天心; Pinyin: Sūn Tiān-xīn) is a Taiwanese linguist whose specific research focus is on languages of the vast Sino-Tibetan language family, especially those falling under the Tibetosphere.
Biography
Jackson T.-S. Sun was born in 1956. He earned his doctorate in Linguistics at the University of California at Berkeley in 1993. Currently, he works as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Linguistics, Academia Sinica, where he served as Deputy Director (August 1, 2005 – July 31, 2006) and Director (June 27, 2008 – June 26, 2011). He also is an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Chinese, National Taiwan Normal University.
