James Michael Justin (born 23 February 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back or central midfielder for League Two club Luton Town.

Career

Born in Luton, Bedfordshire,[2] Justin joined Luton Town in 2005 and progressed through the club's youth system.[3] He was part of the under-11 squad which defeated Bayern Munich 3–2 to win the Aarau Masters in 2009.[3][4] Injuries meant Justin was called up to the under-18 squad as an under-16, playing in the right-back position despite being a central midfielder.[3] Following his breakthrough into the under-18 squad, Justin also featured regularly for the club's development squad,[3] helping them to secure the 2014–15 Final Third Development League Southern Division title.[5] Justin signed his first professional contract on 4 November 2015 until the end of the 2016–17 season.[3] He was named in the matchday squad for the first time on 19 December 2015 as Luton secured a 3–2 away win over Exeter City, but remained an unused substitute.[2][6] Justin later went on to help the under-18 squad win the Youth Alliance South East title,[7][8][9] reach the quarter-finals of the 2015–16 FA Youth Cup, losing 1–0 to Blackburn Rovers,[9][10][11] before winning the Youth Alliance Cup.[12][13][14] He was rewarded for his achievements with his professional debut on the final day of the 2015–16 season, coming on as a 83rd-minute substitute for Stephen O'Donnell in a 4–1 home win over Exeter City.[15]
