Jamie Darvill (born 5 January 1988 in London) is an English footballer who currently plays for Cray Wanderers and the Major Arena Soccer League's Baltimore Blast.
Career
Early career in England
Darvill attended Bexley Grammar School, Meopham Sports College, and was a member of the youth academy at Conference National side Ebbsfleet United as a teenager, scoring 82 goals in 95 games for the team's U18 side. He spent time playing on loan at Dorking in 2006,[1] before breaking into the first team at Ebbsfleet United. In June, Darvill informed The Fleet that he had committed to a scholarship and would be moving to the United States to attend and play college soccer at Loyola University Maryland.
College
Darvill played four years at Loyola; he was named to the MAAC All-Rookie squad in his first year, was the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, and earned spots on the league First Team, the NSCAA/adidas All-North Atlantic Regional team and the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Year as a junior in 2008, and repeated as the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2009 while being named to the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list.[2] He finished his college career having played 73 games for the Greyhounds, with 36 goals and 27 assists to his name.
Professional
Darvill turned professional in 2010 when he signed to play for the Real Maryland Monarchs in the USL Second Division.[3] He made his professional debut on 17 April 2010 in the team's 2010 season opener against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.[4]
