Jan Arvid Johansen

Jan Arvid Johansen (born in Havøysund on 18 June 1947) is a Norwegian musician, graduate of the Nordnorsk Musikkonservatorium (1976–1979) and artist in the Tromsøarea.[1]

He has released records with "Erter, Kjøtt og Flesk" (1973) and Nordnorsk Visegruppe (1975–1980). He has also worked with Hålogaland Teater (1979–1981) and Tramteateret (1985). Johansen has often worked with the lyricist Helge Stangnes, as well as the artists Sverre Kjelsberg, Trygve Hoff and Tove Karoline Knutsen,[1] played Irish music in the group "Rebels", been a part of Forente Artister's "Sammen for Livet" (1985) and "Visehjelp til Nordvest-Russland" (1998). He established and released many records with the group Boknakaran (1993-).[2] His solo record Tonen & Kjærligheten. was released in 2005 (Himalaya/Bonnier) and reached number one on the Norsktoppen (the song "Tirilltungetid"[3]).
