Jason Howell Phillips (born October 11, 1966) is the former offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for the SMU Mustangs football team, which represents the Southern Methodist University. He is also a former professional American football player who played as wide receiver for five seasons for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons.[1] Phillips played college football for Houston. Coach June Jones from SMU coached him in Atlanta as offensive coordinator.[2]

On Sunday, December 20, 2015 the University of Kansas announced the hiring Phillips as their new WR coach. [3]
