Jason Pomeranc

Jason Pomeranc is an American hotelier who co-founded SIXTY Collective and the Do Not Disturb Restaurant Group. Previously he aided his father, Jack Pomeranc, in founding Thompson Hotels Group, now a part of Commune Hotels + Resorts.^[1]

Early life

Jason Pomeranc is the youngest son of Jack Pomeranc, a real estate developer.^[2] He attended New York University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a law degree from Cardozo Law School. After graduation, he worked for Rosenberg & Estis, a real estate firm which specializes in large-scale urban development such as the Condé Nast Building at 4 Times Square. In 1997, Pomeranc joined his family's real estate development firm, The Pomeranc Group.

Business

Real estate developer Jack Pomeranc with the help of his three sons Lawrence, Michael, and Jason opened the 60 Thompson hotel in New York in 2001. It was the first of Thompson Hotels, now a chain of hotels including the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.^[2] In October 2011, he merged the 12 hotel Thompson Hotel Group with the 30 hotel Joie de Vivre chain to form Commune Hotels + Resorts.^[3] In 2013, Jason Pomeranc announced the launch of SIXTY Hotels as part of his new hospitality company, SIXTY Collective, leaving his previous company, Commune Hotels + Resorts.

In 2005, Jason Pomeranc was the executive co-producer of L.A. Suite, a short film promoting the renovated Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It starred Enrique Murciano and Olivia Wilde, and was shot on location at the hotel.^[4]
