Jason Rivers (dermatologist)
Jason Rivers, MD, is a Canadian dermatologist and the founder of Riversol Skin Care Inc.
For seven years, he was director of the Canadian Dermatology Association’s (CDA) National Sun Awareness Program.[1] Rivers now serves as the CDA’s British Columbia Regional Director.[2] He is also past Director of CDA’s Sunscreen Education Program.
Rivers is a recipient of the Canadian Dermatology Association’s President’s Cup,[3] and the American Academy of Dermatology’s Gold Triangle Award. Rivers has been recognized by his peers as one of Canada’s Best Doctors.[2] He is the Associate Editor of The Skin Therapy Letter,[4] is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery,[5] and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology,[2] and the British Journal of Dermatology[6]
Rivers is a staff member at the British Columbia Cancer Agency, Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul's Hospital (Vancouver).[7] He is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine,[8] and was their Program Director for Dermatology for six years.[9]
