Jeff Wardlaw is a farmer from Bradley in southern Arkansas who is a Democratic member of the Arkansas House of Representatives for District 8, which includes Calhoun and Bradley counties and parts of Dallas and Union counties.
Personal life and education
Warldaw graduated from Hermitage High School and the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture.[1] He enjoys hunting and fishing, and is a member of the Rotary Club.[2]
Career
Wardlaw runs his own Wardlaw Farms. Wardlaw served as Vice Chairman of the bipartisan Freshman Caucus, and received the Legislator of the Year award from the Arkansas Forestry Association. Wardlaw is a member of the Public Health Committee and the Insurance and Commerce Committee, where he serves as Chairman of the Insurance Subcommittee. Wardlaw is a member of the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce board of directors and Bradley County Industrial Development Commission.[1] Wardlaw had been mentioned as a potential Democrat candidate for Arkansas's 4th congressional district seat vacated in 2015 by since freshaman U.S. Senator Tom Cotton. However, Wardlaw instead ran for a third term in the state House.[3]
