Jodhpur Park
Jodhpur Park (Bengali: যোধপুর পার্ক) is an affluent locality in south Kolkata, India. It has Dhakuria to the north, the Gariahat Road (South) to the east, Prince Anwar Shah Road to the south and the Lake Gardens area to the west. Before independence Jodhpur Park was a golf course belonging to the maharaja of Jodhpur. In 1950 the government of West Bengal acquired most of the estate and the land was converted to residential use.
The locality is known for its clean roads, greenery, public services and excellent locational advantage.
Its well known for its proximity to South City Mall, Jadavpur University, Gariahat, Tollygunge tram depot,Dhakuria Railway station,for its excellent connectivity to all parts of the city.
Rabindra Sarobar metro station is only 5 mins auto ride from Jodhpur Park and through the main road you can get state bus,mini bus, Volvo bus,auto and all forms of public transport available in Kolkata.
The great transport connection of Jodhpur Park to important parts of city including Howrah,Sealdah,Gariahat,Esplanade,Salt Lake makes it one of the best sought after places in Kolkata.
In a recent survey by Telegraph its rated the 3rd best area to reside in Kolkata after Ballygunge Place and New Alipore.
It also has a lake.
It is also famous for Aurobindo Seva Kendra(EEDF),one of the biggest hospitals in Kolkata.
The famous Golf Course of Tollygunge is a couple of kilometres away and south-west of Jodhpur Park.
Some important institutes in and around Jodhpur Park region include Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Regional Institute of Printing Technology,Regional Polytechnic, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur University, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology etc.
Abah Mahal and Rabindra Sarovar are some of the tourist attractions in the vicinity of Jodhpur Park.

Jodhpur Park Durga Puja
Jodhpur Park Pujo is a renowned and well respected Durga Puja in Kolkata.It is the MAIN attraction of the South of Kolkata.Recently Pally Mangal,beside EEDF and 95 Pally,behind the market have begun using the locality name Jodhpur Park for their pujas.But the actual and original Jodhpur Park Pujo is the one that is held beside the Jodhpur Park Lake for the past 61 years and running,by the residents of the locality ever since they formed the Committee known as Jodhpur Park Saradiya Utsav Committee.
