Joseph "Joe" Thomson (born 14 January 1997) is a Scottish professional footballer Nicknamed 'JT', Thomson plays for Celtic as midfielder.[1] He has also played for Scotland at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels.
Early life
Thomson was born in Paisley and played for Gleniffer Thistle Boys Club. He attended Williamwood High School, East Renfrewshire before attending St Ninian's High School, Kirkintilloch.
Career
Thomson has played regularly for the Celtic Development Squad,[2] and having played against Villarreal C.F.,[3] PSV Eindhoven, Sparta Prague, FC Den Bosch and Stade Rennes in friendly fixtures, on 22 August 2015 Thomson made his first team competitive debut when he came on during the second half of Celtic's 3–1 league win away at Dundee United.[4]
He joined Scottish Championship side Dumbarton on loan in August 2016[5] He scored his first senior goal in a 2-2 draw with Dunfermline Athletic in October 2016[6]
