Johannes Spech

Johannes (or János) Spech (1767? – 1836) was a Hungarian classical era composer.

He was born in Bratislava about 1767 and studied for a time with Joseph Haydn. He died in Vienna in 1836. Amongst other genres, he wrote chamber music, sonatas, church music and songs.

Works

His Three String Quartets, Op. 2, were recorded by the Festetics String Quartet (Hungaroton).[1]
