Justina Sharp

Justina Sharp (born October 2, 1997) is an American fashion and entertainment blogger, journalist and influencer.

Sharp first gained national attention after her article "I'm A Barbie Girl, In The Real World"[1] was published by the Huffington Post in February 2014. She also defended Sports Illustrated's decision to run a feature on Barbie, saying "Barbie is the doll that shaped the childhood of millions, including mine".[2] Sharp guest-wrote a follow up op-ed piece for The New York Times[3] and appeared on the Today Show.[4]

Sharp founded and has served as editor of her fashion, entertainment and lifestyle site A Bent Piece of Wire since 2011, when she was 13 years old. Her site is best known for its in-depth interviews of up-and-coming and established figures in the fashion and entertainment industries, including Laura Brown,[5] Rebecca Black,[6] and R5.[7] as well as extensive personal style and travel coverage. Justina is active on social media, especially Instagram and Twitter, with an estimated 60,000 followers across platforms. She has been featured in Teen Vogue, Vogue Italia, NPR, Buzzfeed, the Huffington Post, and more.[8][9][10] She most recently contributed to MTV's online platform and regularly written for the American River Current, focusing on pop culture and politics.

Sharp has been involved in the California 4-H program since she was 11, and formerly served as a 2014-15 California 4-H Ambassador. She is a polyglot, fluent in German and Italian.
