Prior to this, Abraham competed in Grand Prix motorcycle racing from 2005 to 2015, riding in the 125cc, 250cc, Moto2 and MotoGP classes.[2] Despite criticism of Abraham "buying" his way into MotoGP having never been a front runner in the support classes,[3] Abraham took his first podium at Twin Ring Motegi and then won his first Grand Prix at the 2010 season-ending Valencian Grand Prix.[4]
