Kim Fu (born 1987) is a Canadian writer, whose debut novel For Today I Am a Boy was published in 2014.[1] The book won the Edmund White Award for debut novels from Publishing Triangle,[2] and was a shortlisted nominee for the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award[3] and the Lambda Literary Award for Transgender Fiction.[4]
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia to immigrant parents from Hong Kong,[1] Fu studied creative writing at the University of British Columbia.[1]
Fu has also published poetry, essays and long-form journalism in literary magazines and anthologies.[1]
