Kwan Yin Chan Lin (Chinese: 观音禅林) is a Buddhist zen centre in Singapore. The organization was originally set up by Venerable Chi Boon in 1991. The present premises are located at Geylang, Singapore.
Overview
The Kwan Yin Chan Lin Zen Centre was founded in 1991 by Chi Boon with Seung Sahn being the spiritual teacher. Chi Boon received the ‘inka’ on 8 November 1998 from Seung Sahn as an acknowledgment of accomplishment in Zen practice and authorization in teaching zen.
